Ever since news broke about Shakira’s pregnancy, people have been wondering about where she’s planning to give birth. Would the little one be born in mama’s home country of Colombia, papa Gerard Pique’s native Spain or perhaps in the good old U.S. of A? Well now we have an answer, courtesy of the daddy-to-be.

Gerard announced this week that Catalonia, Spain is where their little boy will enter the world. And he also gave some updates on Shaki’s growing belly.

“My son will be born in Catalonia,” Pique told a local Spanish radio station. “Shakira is doing fine and we are very excited.”

One other interesting point that Gerard touched on was the potential name of their bundle of joy. Previous reports claimed that they were planning to call their son Biel. But papa Pique shot that down, saying they were still undecided on the nombre.
